Well, that's just the luck of the Irish! Kate Middleton got her heel caught in a drain pipe while attending a rainy St. Patrick's Day parade in Hampshire, England, on Sunday, March 17, but the good-natured duchess didn't let the incident dampen her mood.Clad in a green Emilia Wickstead dress coat, the five-months-pregnant Duchess handed out traditional shamrock sprigs to the officers and guardsmen with the help of William, 30.
Middleton, 31, instead seemed to chuckle at her bad luck, and husband Prince William propped her up while she pulled the heel of her black pump out of the grate. An onlooking, on-duty guard remained at attention throughout the minor mishap but seemed amused by the commotion.
Although they have thus far kept quiet about the sex of the baby, Middleton may have let slip a small clue to the gender earlier this month during a visit to the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, England on March 5.
The royal couple announced their pregnancy last December, and are expecting their happy bundle of joy in July.
When a local presented the Duchess with a white stuffed teddy bear, the mother-to-be expressed her gratitude.
"Thank you, I'll take that for my d--" she said, tellingly cutting herself off mid-sentence.
